AA camping report
AA inspector Chris Pike , July 2017 – KIlliwerris
It was a pleasure to visit this adults-only park set in glorious Cornish countryside, and I met with Steve the hardworking owner who kindly showed me around. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean with good attention to detail paid to the cleaning. The laundry room had a full complement of equipment and everything was clean and tidy, as was the dish wash area, which is located inside the facilities block. All the pitches are hard standing with a good 16amp electric supply; all are well maintained with good access roads to all pitches. This is a very popular park and you can see why – full marks to Steve and Andrea for the presentation of this park.
AA inspector Mike Jackson July 2013 – KIlliwerris
Killwerris Touring Park is a small, high quality, family-run, adult-only site with just 16 fully serviced hard standing pitches. The grasses are well mown, and the shrubs and surrounding trees are all expertly trimmed and maintained.
The entrance, which is very tidy with an excellent tarmac drive, leads to the reception building where there is plenty of tourist information and, although there is no shop on site, you can purchase eggs, bread, milk, and order newspapers etc here. There is a shop in the village less than 1 mile away.
The facility block is housed in a lodge in which Andrea was involved with the design and I must say it is a great success. Within the building are all the facilities, toilets, showers etc that you would expect of a quality site, including a great laundry and wash up area, and all fixtures and fittings are of the highest standard, modern and spotlessly clean.
Located just 5 miles from the cathedral City of Truro and 4 miles from the coastal village of St Agnes this is an ideal site to explore Cornwall or just get away from it all – a network of footpaths and bridleways are easily accessible from the site for those that wish to walk, with or without pets.
